| After reading Smiths comments in Hull Live I want him to go even more now.
"It happens".... but why the does it happen? Your job is literally to make it not happen. Never heard such blasé comments from a coach before after a complete hammering. Can anybody imagine Shaun Wane losing by 50 points and saying "it happens".
"but the start flattened them out, as did the fatigue of the matches leading up to this game over the last few weeks".... come on, it's week 5!! I get its a tough sport but how can you blame that result on fatigue when it's so early in the season. And if they are fatigued then it's entirely the coaching staffs fault for not getting them fit in pre season. No wonder Clifford made the comments he did.
"Danny is okay. His hamstring fatigues by the end of the match, and he's finding it hard to get right through"..... I dunno, perhaps stop trying to flog the guy for 80 minutes every week then??? Perhaps use the international hooker you have in the squad at, maybe, hooker??? Perhaps spell Danny with the promising youngster you have sitting waiting for his chance???
Absolute joke of an interview to be honest after such a pathetic defeat. Sounds like he has 0 passion and everything is just 'it is what it is, we go again next week, we'll be fine'.

Strange if he has, as he was one of the better ones - especially when in his correct position. If he has gone then it must be about money.

I was really pleased when he was appointed - a vastly experienced head coach with a track record. Just hasn't worked out.
A penny for Gareth Ellis' thoughts today.'"
Ellis could/would have been our interim with Cummins…

| Ellis said he didn't enjoy coaching anymore didn't he.
On another note, wonder if Davidson has gone?

Also said this after being let go, and wasn’t planning on leaving…

| Thank god he's gone. I never liked him and never wanted him at my club.
No surprise he's failed. I have noticed where this myth of him being a top coach comes from. His coaching career:
Huddersfield.- got them relegated then used days mo eyes t9 get them promoted again
Leeds - got out thoght by John Kear in the CC final, won a lot less thN the clearly useless Brian mcdermott. My granny could have coached that group to a grand final win
GB/England - failure and much worse than macnamara
Warr8ngton - couldn't win the gF despite all of the money and resources at his disposal
Rovers - nearly got them relegated in his first season
Us - makes radford look like a coaching genius
We've been abysmal for most of his tenure. It looks like the players only see each other on match days.
With a limited playing group we need to be super fit and defensively sound. We're neither and he has rightly paid the price
