| Spoke to a current player & Connor Wynne in Sauna the other day.
Wynne said he turned up to preseason last year a bit over weight and smith told him he couldn’t train with the team and had to find a new team. Said he made a few mistake but wasn’t given chance to redeem himself. Cas offering him a deal for next year but he’s not 100% sure.
Players hated TS and said he sacked Ellis for not being detailed enough, yet he was the most detailed coach and was massive on the wrestle in D. Both said smith dismantled and killed the club. Said none of them wanted Tex to go but smith had already burnt those bridges. Apparently it’s true he had favourites.
Also hate Davidson and referred to him as the fat bloke. Also seen him around TF and spends more time chatting then pushing players so I imagine he’ll be out door.
They both aren’t 100% sure it’s happening but they believe Jack brown will be a robin next season.
Also don’t know why Balmforth aren’t playing his exact words were “he trains hard and is a really good kid as well”. Then seemed to imply Ellis being back will be good for him. Think he’s a fan & will help his D.
Wacokecoke left because hull offered him a new deal on reduced terms. Apparently his attitude for training isn’t great yet so still needs to grow up. Always late, can straight from bed etc.
Another gym member said Walker told him he was hating at hull before the Hudds game. Wants to go back to Leeds but doesn’t think they’ll have him. Hopefully Grix can turn that around.
Big raps to Kai Armstrong as well, some player and spent a lot of time in gym recently. Definitely needs to fill out before he makes a first team impact.

Seems that Wyne & this current player are rather unprofessional, telling some bloke in the sauna all this information from inside the club. Good riddance to Wyne just need rid of this other player now, clearly can’t be trusted not to blab about other people within the club.

| Quote: Dave K. "Got a feeling Grix will get it, which I think we be a big mistake. If he does, we need an attack minded assistant. Defence looks better, but we are still off with our attacking play.
Still using our backs too much, there was a set yesterday were we made about 30 metres, not one forward tool a drive in that set.
Need to use Ese Ese and Pele near the line, particularly when they are on together.
10 minutes to go, losing by one try and we move our most threatening player to the wing for a young inexperienced FB.'"
cunning plan clearly developed by tinkering Tony

| Getting a bit boring this now isn't, I get to don't like Smith and you were correct he wasn't the right man, buy cone on, blaming him for for the things I mentioned is nonsense.
The backs taking all the drives has been going on for years.
Not using the two big forwards at the right time isn't hos fault either.
Unless you are saying he told Grix to play Walker on the wing and Moy at FB.

| Wynn just whines at everything and he's probably has found his level in the Championship. Brown can leave also , We saw the difference when he came on and Pele & the lad from Rovers came off . I guess all eyes will be on the coaching /fitness side of things now with a root and branch assessment from Myler as to why we are now with the players and what can the club do differently to improve across all facets within the club .

| You could tell that both loan players came from clubs with good coaching set ups and culture. They played the game at a high intense level.

| None of that surprises me. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about smith from the family of a current first team player.
I tend to think if smith had left a couple of weeks earlier Hoy would have stayed. I can see him going well for cas.
I was told brown had agreed to join wakey but may be wrong on that

I was referring to moving Walker to wing and Moy to full back nothing else.
I agree we need to use our forwards more when taking the ball up from our line but was told by a know it all on here that you dont know anything about R/L if you use your forwards and not backs for that purpose.
I get the idea is to give them a rest but it doesnt say anywhere in the rules that a forward cant take the ball up out of defence.
This type of movement should be shared between backs and forwards and also vary the play by moving the ball accross the line away from the middle defence to try and create a gap for a faster back to exploit.

| Is Scott Taylor's article in the Mail a bit of PR prior to him being announced as another addition to the backroom makeover or a pitch from him hoping to get involved? I'm thinking the latter but not sure.

| My first thoughts was that after comments have been made in the media about strengthening the back room staff, this was Taylor's "come get me" message to Hull. But to be honest if he wanted to be back at the club I don't think he'd go to the media. I imagine he'd have no hesitation in just getting on the phone and asking if there's anywhere he can slot in.
I can see it been the first option you said and it's a bit of foreshadowing before he gets announced back at the club later in the week.

| Do we need another former player who has been around throught the recent dire period involved? I'd rather we brought in some fresh blood. If taylor had so much to offer he should have bee offering it whilst still employed by the club. We don't need more or the "jobs for the boys" culture.
