| Defensively Zak is still a good player, but with the ball runs sideways a lot and obviously has lost quite a bit of pace. Always gives 100% though.

Bingo Hull2524 spot on
no he is not
if you think a backline of Briscoe,Hardaker,Sutcliffe and possibly Martin is progress then we are really in trouble as a club
Where is the pace? where is the strike from a centre
I agree there will be more players coming in as we all know a seven and second row are a priority but if this is the level we are looking at and running with its a joke

| Just seen a message fro Mylers father in law
stop wasting my f--king money
I know Pearson has made mistakes but i dont think as the chairman and owner he would have signed off signing Hardaker and shows that as soon as he has his money back he will be on his way out of the club

| The way I see it is, myler commented yesterday that we have 2 young centres coming thru so maybe they see hardaker as the experience player to help them progress. A leigh fan has commented how good he is with the younger players

Pure guesswork. We don't even know that the investment has gone ahead yet.

some fans will always see a positive whoever the club signs
Whatever spin you want to put on signing Hardaker its a poor signing when centre is another position where we are so poor.
He is also not the role model we need for our younger players.
Briscoe an ideal role model.Hardaker definitely not.

| Having pondered over our activity over the past week, and thinking philosophically, I feel like the path we are taking is pretty clear
Myler in his interview yesterday alluded to setting a platform for the young players in the academy who the club has high hopes for (Armstrong, Wainhouse, Dawson, Westerman to name a few).
The sort of signings we have made compliment this, for all the complaints in this thread, there is no questioning that Holmes, Hardaker, Briscoe and Asiata are all better than what we currently have. And, Asiata aside, I have a feeling won’t be on significant amounts of money either, especially after been offered two year deals rather than the one year extensions they were being offered at Leigh.
This gives the academy talent time to develop, both physically and mentally for SL, and takes the pressure off them, preventing them from being thrown in too early, as we have seen with Moy, and to a degree with Charles IMO.
And in the short term, if we can pair these experienced players with marquee talent (Trueman, Asiata, potentially Whitehead) then we look a hell of a lot better than where we currently are.
I have liked for the most part how Myler has done his business recently. He’s got a plan, and he’s not afraid of ruffling a few feathers along the way. Long way to go, and of course a head coach to appoint, but for now I am confident this club is at least veering back into the right direction.

Where your post falls apart is you are assuming that the younger players mentioned will actually make the grade in S/L.
So my question is if they dont make the grade where do we do from there given that the dads army currently been put together will either not be here or having to use mobility aids.
Much better is to sign players like this on a season loan then use the time to find some quality at a good age like Chan from Wigan

| Bonaire… please for the love of Christ, bore off… you are so incredibly pessimistic that every post you make, I feel like I might just fall off the end of a cliff. As for the ‘I’m not pessimistic, just realistic’ line… no… no you’re not. You have never ever ever ever ever praised the club in any single tiny little way.

| Bonaire, simple question for you. Who would you realistically sign for next season. It’s very easy complaining all the time without offering an alternative.
Next seasons over 30 we will have Oli Holmes, John Asiata, Tom Briscoe, Zak Hardaker, Ligi Sao
We will then have Sutty & Herman turn 30 mid season I believe
So that’s 7 players around 30 in a 35 man squad. Bet in comparison to other squads it’s pretty good.

Stupid post and the reaction of someone trying to get brownie points.
You say the same thing every time like the doom and gloom merchants are out or i dont like pessimists well if you want to fall off the end of a cliff because you dont like criticism of any kind on this forum be my guest
Whatamidoinghere? well ask yourself that.never seen you post anything meaningful or worth debating.
By the way put your glasses on and read what i said about the signing of Asiata.Your last paragraph makes you look a fool.

i didnt complain when we signed Asiata or Chan on a short term loan,
They are very good players
If you think a backline of Briscoe,Hardaker,Sutcliffe plus probably Martin is going to elevate us into a major attacking strike force then you are deluded and the idea that we wait a further two years hoping two young centres come through to take their place is even more deluded
several teams have forwards with more pace than those three
