| Quote: Dave K. "I really don't think Mcdermott is the right man, we need a coach who can build a side and a culture, Mcdermott biggest success was at Leeds, he is inherited a great squad when he took over in 2011.
Look at this squad he started with here: That is an unbelievable squad that would walk SL now.
Mcdermott would be an error. Odd character and I don't believe he's a great technical coach either

| Is Scott Taylor's article in the Mail a bit of PR prior to him being announced as another addition to the backroom makeover or a pitch from him hoping to get involved? I'm thinking the latter but not sure.

| My first thoughts was that after comments have been made in the media about strengthening the back room staff, this was Taylor's "come get me" message to Hull. But to be honest if he wanted to be back at the club I don't think he'd go to the media. I imagine he'd have no hesitation in just getting on the phone and asking if there's anywhere he can slot in.
I can see it been the first option you said and it's a bit of foreshadowing before he gets announced back at the club later in the week.

| Do we need another former player who has been around throught the recent dire period involved? I'd rather we brought in some fresh blood. If taylor had so much to offer he should have bee offering it whilst still employed by the club. We don't need more or the "jobs for the boys" culture.

| Agreed, if he did have a lot to offer, other super league/championship clubs would've offered him something, rather than a come and get me article

| What role does anyone think he’d be employed in by the club
