Every team has a solid and unspectacular players….we can see what the club are doing and Holmes is a upgrade on our current back rowers

Holmes whilst not being a top class signing is a solid signing and will be an improvement on what we have (though that’s not too difficult).

As long as we don’t waste our quota spots like we have for the past few years signings like Holmes will bolster the squad and help bring on the younger players.

I'm personally REALLY pleased with Holmes. A real step up on our 2nd row options.

I have been impressed with Holmes at Leigh after a poor spell at Warrington. He looks leaner and quicker, and an improvement on our back row. If we can't sign Kikau, then Holmes is the next best thing

Tiaki Chan in on loan, good signing, will give us some go forward when Ese Ese/Sao go off, last week that was where we struggled v wire, Pele/Brown didn't have the same impact, and their defence wasn't as good

Shaw mentions he will provide cover for backrow, but I thought he was mainly a prop.

Chan felt like a strange and unnecessary signing for Wigan with all the middles already available. He was given a run at second row in a friendly against Wakefield but didn't look a natural fit and was exposed a few times. Since then he's been named at 13 in the reserves. I'd say he's a hard working front rower or 13 with a great attitude, although his lack of size will always limit his impact.

Trueman being back will hopefully improve things. I think if he'd have been on from the start we may well have scored when we had those 3 or 4 repeat sets in the first half against wire when it was only 6 nil and it could have been a different game

Agree with earlier post he’s not the biggest but he’s mobile and runs hard.
With no bans or injuries I’m feeling more confident of a win against London.
