It was reported he recommended Tex Hoy to join us, and the majority of our latest NRL recruits are linked to both the above clubs .

Grix comes across well in press conferences. He communicates well and has a demeanour that shows authority.

Will people sign for the club, not knowing who the coach?

This is probably our biggest recruitment for the last 10 years or so, need to get this right, think we need a new coach named (even if they don't start until next season) to help with recruitment.

Maybe, there is nobody reputable who is available to start immediately, or there is an agreement not to reveal the identity in case, it derails that club's end to the season.
I hope we have not agreed player deals, prior to Myler arriving , because we all know, our recent recruitment , putting it mildly, ain't the best.

It's a real tough one, need a cisch, but also don't want to rush and appoint the wrong person.

I'm sure, if it was for example, someone experienced and unemployed, they would've been announced by now.
Also an Assistant Coach , should be relatively easy to get an early release, or maybe that guy is integral to his club's challenge for honours.

Agree it’s a good decision both internally and externally as the club needs steadying /settling and Grix so far seems to be doing a good job in that aspect.

We can view the move one of two ways I guess the first being we are now casting our net further afield and giving ourselves time to ensure we get the right fit in terms of the next Head Coach. Or the second is that we have agreed on the new Head Ciach who is still employed elsewhere and doesn’t want it announcing until the end of the SL or NRL season. I suppose there could even be a 3rd in that Grix could well play himself in to the job.

Just hope that none of our recent or future recruitment has any of Clark’s fingers on it.

I honestly don't think we have a coach yet

A few fans and journalists alike are getting frustrated with the lack of ‘leaks’ from the club, since the boys club has dispersed, less info is slapping from the walls of uni, even HDM reporting pre match quotes from last week,

Myler knows what’s needed and fair play to him and the club for keeping it under wraps, not rushing into just signing anyone to please fans, hardly any decent players domestically atm so happy to wait for the right player to come available,

The next coach is going to have 3/4 quota spots, over a million on the cap and one of the best youth set ups in the country, there will be plenty of interest..just need the right captain to steer the ship
