This will be my first use of my season ticket as I missed the Bradford game due to being at a simple minds concert, looking forward to being back in my spot on the western terrace that I used to frequent before we were all encouraged into the north stand. Held a season ticket from 2004 to 2022 (only went to 3 games in 2022 and one of those was in hospitality as a guest of ASUS) had last year off and only gonna get to 4 or 5 home games due to also following Dewsbury this year. Really looking forward to it, gonna have a few drinks before during and after the game, hopefully get my love for trinity back
Personally think we’ll do a number on Toulouse, I believe the only team that will properly test us this year will be Sheffield

None of us really do. He’s not really a runner or an organising half. He’s kind of in between both without being great on either but has the occasional flash play or shocker play. As I say consistency seems to be something he struggles with. For this level though he is pretty good.

Mentioned this a few times over the years.

In the games I saw him play prior to him joining Trinity he played in the free role was direct and very dynamic he had a good kicking game but he wasn’t an organiser.

I remember being reading the headline in the Wakey express when he signed proclaiming him to be the next organising half from the club. I think a big part of this club spin was the issues we had since Finn and Williams left we were unable to replace those 2 natural organisers.

I think unfortunately we tried to turn Lino into that organiser which took him away from his natural style and now we have a player that lost the natural instinct to attack (although he does occasionally show glimpses) and who never took to the organising role we brought him in to do.

We’ve effectively diluted him to what we have now which is generally a pretty average half who occasionally shows flashes of his natural ability that is no longer his natural game.

Very well said. I think he’s fairly well liked as you can see he’s full of bags of effort on the pitch. Absolutely happy for him to play and will cheer him as frustrating as it can be sometimes.

Agree he seems well liked within the club and a really nice guy.

Digging a bit deeper regards his playing style at the Warriors he was back up to Tommy Leului (organiser) & Shaun Johnson (at that time the strike runner) and then at Newcastle Knights he was back up to Pierce (Organiser) and Pongia (strike half at the time).

The reality is he got opportunities when any of these lads were injured so had to cover both roles at times depending on who was missing. As I said earlier he looked more comfortable as the dynamic runner but probably never got a chance to develop his own style because of what he was being asked to do prior to his time with us too.

Has anyone got the official attendance figure for Saturday's game please? RL Express state that no figure was submitted. I thought that we would be shouting it from the rooftops.
