I’ve parked near Becketts park and walked down Headingley Mount for a long time and last night got parked closer than any game since I used to go with my old man on A Saturday in the early 70’s , when the crowd for a league game v Doncaster was around 4,000, I’d guess last night was about 5,000, possibly less. Given it was between the 2 most successful sides in SL , that is woeful.
I think at very least they need to make the draw much earlier and set the date much earlier.

Sts brought a very decent following. Fair play to them.

True but they would still have all 4 wheels left on their car come end of play La.

Home draw - yawn
against SL opposition who we played week before - also yawn
£23, its pishing down of rain and were currently a basket case of a team atm.
Its the same every other year, home draw against a SL team.
If we'd have played on a Saturday or played them away I'dve gone, if wedve played ANY team away I wouldve gone. We haven't had a decent, new away game somewhere in the cup (a York, Batley, Cumbrian team) for years. Its the same old draws for us every year. May be time to bring SL teams in a round earlier to spread the games around a bit and throw up something different.
