| I really don’t think it’s fair on Frawley. He was signed as a as Sir Greg says a “steady Eddie” and bringing Sinfield into the equation is not helping or relevant. Sinfield is a good prospect but still a year or two away. At the moment he lacks physical maturity and to play him regularly in SL would destroy him. I think reading comments on various threads I’ve come to the conclusion we need a marquee player in every position who is A super strong, line breaker capable of aggressively dumping the opposition on the floor but is not a liability, extremely fast capable of scoring long range tries, is a skilful organiser who has brilliant footwork, kicks goals and makes the tea.
Give the guy a break there are plenty of guys not pulling their weight but not intentionally. We were bad against the Wire, poor in the cup against Saints. The team needs to gel a new spine can hardly perform brilliantly from game one. A couple of good wins will build the confidence. I don’t expect them to be world beaters but do expect them to finish 5/6th.
Oh and by the way I think once Mov settles in and 100 % fit I think we will have a half decent centre pair.

| Frawley's rarely got any scope to vary his long kicks. The oppos back 3 drops back on the 5th (its usually the 5th cos we need every available tackle to clear our own lines) fully knowing the zone where the ball will land. Again, this is driven by the need for more metres. Until we begin to defend higher, and/or our pack makes more ground, were unlikely to see much in terms of a decent and varied long kicking game.

| To be honest, if we're only 30 or 40m away from our line on the 5th, I wouldn't mind seeing us try more powerplays, instead of kicking it. Or even a few bombs instead of a punt. The opposition are likely to start on the 40m line anyway, so we may as well take the chance.
